NHGA Champions Dinner

The New Hampshire Golf Association held its first Champions dinner Thursday night at Manchester Country Club. We would like to thank all of those past and present champions, board members, Presidents and volunteers who were in attendance. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Kirk Hanefeld for being part of our special evening. Earlier in the year the NHGA Board of Directors voted unanimously to ask Kirk if we could name our Junior Player of the Year award after him. We are grateful he was able to find time to attend and present the award to this year’s recipient, James Pleat.
Dan Arvanitis of Derryfield Country Club was also recognized for his outstanding play as the association named him the Senior Player of the Year.
For the second time since the Thomas J. Leonard Jr. Player of the Year trophy was created in 1993, there were Co-recipients. Craig Cyr (Duston Country Club) and Mark Stevens (Beaver Meadow) were presented trophies for their accomplishments this year. Unfortunately Mark was unable to attend but in his absence, his mother Lori accepted the trophy on his behalf.
Again, thank you to all those who attended the dinner and thank you to Manchester Country Club for hosting our event.

New Hampshire regains Tri State Trophy

For the first time since 2004, New Hampshire has won the Tri State Matches over Maine and Vermont.
Congratulations to all of the teams members and a special thanks to Passaconaway Country Club for allowing us to host the event at their facility.
